Daily Chronicle adheres to the highest standards of journalistic integrity, truth, and transparency. Our editorial policy serves as our public commitment to rigorous reporting, editorial independence, and responsible digital media practices.

1. Fact-Checking & Verification Standards

Accuracy is the foundational cornerstone of our newsroom. Every story, claim, and factual statement undergoes multi-tier fact-checking before publication:

• Primary Sourcing: Reporters must rely on primary sources, official government gazettes, verified public records, scientific journals, or direct on-the-record statements whenever possible.
• Cross-Verification: Breaking news claims require independent verification from at least two reputable sources before being published as confirmed facts.
• Source Attribution: We clearly identify our sources. When anonymous sources are necessary for whistleblower protection, senior editorial oversight is required.

2. Editorial Independence & Advertising Firewall

Daily Chronicle maintains a strict, impenetrable firewall between our editorial desk and commercial or advertising partners (including programmatic ad networks such as Google AdSense):

• Advertisers, sponsors, and commercial stakeholders have zero influence on editorial decisions, story assignments, headlines, or investigative findings.
• Sponsored articles or native advertising content are always explicitly labeled with prominent disclosures such as "Sponsored Content" or "Advertisement."
• Our journalists and contributors are prohibited from accepting gifts, payments, or favors from entities they cover.

3. Corrections & Retraction Policy

We are accountable to our readers. When a factual mistake is identified, we correct it promptly and transparently:

• Clarifications & Corrections: If an article contains a factual error, a correction notice is appended at the bottom or top of the article detailing what was corrected and the timestamp.
• Retractions: If a published report is fundamentally compromised or inaccurate, the editorial board will issue a formal retraction explaining the circumstances.

4. AI & Digital Media Ethics

While modern digital tools assist in research and data organization, all journalism published under Daily Chronicle is authored, reviewed, and approved by human editors. We do not publish automated, unverified AI content without strict human oversight.
